It is with deep regret that we have taken the decision to cancel the 2020 Wooburn Festival which was to take place in September and October. We had been optimistic that the Festival could still go ahead, but because of the continuing impact of the COVID-19 virus we must put the safety of our audiences, artists, and everybody involved, first.

Currently, all our concert venues, including the lovely Churches of St. Paul’s in Wooburn and All Saints in High Wycombe are closed for the foreseeable future, and so, as long as COVID-19 remains an active threat to us all, it will not be possible to hold concerts at these venues while maintaining appropriate social distancing among audience members, performers and our volunteers.

We're also worried about our artists, for whom the Festival has always shown great care and concern. At a time when their earnings have collapsed, it is not easy to turn them away. We have, however, asked all of those booked to appear this year to join us at next year's Festival.

We long for the moment when we can bring the joy of live music and the Arts into people’s lives once again. And, as we emerge from these difficult times, we hope to enjoy your continued support when we launch our programme for the Wooburn Festival 2021.

In the meantime, I do hope you can understand our position.
