Last year’s Barefoot Opera production was dans le style d'un café. The singers meandered between the tables whilst the audience sipped their coffees, wine and sample the canapés. A treat for opera buffs and newcomers alike.
Barefoot Opera production last year was based on the theme of the Maid, with excerpts from Mozart’s Figaro , the Magic Flute and a short Opera Buffa by Pergolesi. The Barefoot Opera company never fails to impress, entertain and inform us with their flair for visually and musically stunning presentation and the vitality of the professional singers starting out on their operatic careers.
Barefoot Opera for Young Artists is well-known for its strong production values, first class music making and high energy ensemble work.
The highly experienced team includes Lesley Anne Sammons leading the music, staging by Jenny Miller, and the talented young singers are post graduates of specialist music colleges and fledgling stars…

The Magic Flute Papageno’s first aria, his suicide scene, Papageno/Papagena duet and incidental music with choreography
2nd half: La Serva Padrona (The Servant Turned Mistress) is an opera buffa by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. The opera is only 45 minutes long and was originally performed as an intermezzo between the acts of a larger serious opera.
